Whatever It Takes
Great video of firefighters in West Plains, MO doing Whatever It Takes to get the job done with very limited resources. They did not give up and wait for an engine to arrive, they did what most every public servent would do, either find a way or make one. Why put a video of Firefighters on a Casualty Care and Rescue blog? To quote Lt. Col. Hal Moore “There is always one more thing you can do”.
I truly hope the citizens of West Plains know what they have with their fire department and do whatever they can to continue to support agressive guys like this. Strong Work!! Stay Safe

Casualty Care for the Firearms Instructor/RSO
I have developed a new course for the Firearms Instructor and Range Safety Officer. Here is Colorado we had an incident at a local shooting range where twin sisters decided to kill themselves at the range. They rented .22 pistols and were shooting for some time then shot themselves. One survived and one did not. After the incident the RSO that day wanted some increased training so I had him come to one of my 4 hour classes. This new class goes over much more on the first aid side but still covers the TCCC aspect of shooting. It also goes over how to interact with First Responders and what to tell the 911 dispatch center including where you are. Having an established Safety and Medical Plan to help guide you and get the correct information to the correct people will speak volumes to your customers and clients. Read More »

Civilian Contractor Accountability Project
Sorry for my absence – New job is more than expected.
I found this site on Soldier Systems and wanted to pass it on to you guys here. It is the Civilian Contractor Accountability Project. From their WEBSITE:
“The “Civilian Contractor Casualty Accountability Project” or “CCCAProject” for short will not only account for all of the Civilian Contractors who have been killed in service of the U.S. Government around the world (regardless of nationality) – but also to account for those Civilian Contractors who are Missing in Action, currently being held as Prisoners of War or Unjustifiably Held in Captivity.”
I have several buddies working as contractors in various positions and parts of the world and I have tried to make sure I can help them whenever they needed help. The project is looking for volunteers to help with tackling their goals. Take a look and if you have some time to help out please do. Thanks and stay safe.
